Many candidates wonder how to calculate marks for the TNPSC Group 4 Exam. For that, we have simplified the process in the below section.
The question paper has 300 questions and the candidates are required to secure a minimum of 90 marks to qualify the examination. There will be 3 topics covered in the question paper:
- General Studies section comprising 75 questions of 1.5 marks each.
- Aptitude and Mental Ability Test section having 25 questions of 1.5 marks each.
- General English/General Tamil section having 100 questions of 1.5 marks each.
Hence, 300 marks in totality. There will be two types of question papers - Type 1 and Type 2. Both the types will have the same sections of General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability Test, but Type 1 will have 100 questions of General English, and Type 2 consists of 100 questions from General Tamil. Candidates are required to opt for either of the two. There is no provision of negative marking, so candidates can calculate their marks by adding up the number of questions they answered correctly.
